- Narelle Ashford Added March 25, 2018★ ★ ★ ★ ☆I believe the information to lack reference to Oolong in Howlong situated in the Corowa Council area and the other hostels in Jindera, and Holbrook. This may be an oversight and needs to be corrected.
Oolong is part of the UPA Murray River Aged Care Services and has an excellent reputation as a very livable and welcoming facility. The staff are wonderful, the activities provided are many and varied and if an elderly person is in need of care I can recommend Oolong Hostel in Howlong.
I am a regular volunteer in the facility and know from experience the involvement of the community, staff and families of residents in the continuous effort to give our elderly residents, a family like atmosphere, regular physical and mental stimulation, security and a sense of self worth often lost when living on their own or in a busy younger or multi generational family.
